Role Description The Electrical Proposal Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai. This position is responsible for preparing technical and commercial proposals for electrical projects, including material specifications, cost estimates, and compliance with client requirements and industry standards. The role involves reviewing tender documents, coordinating with engineering, sales, and procurement teams, and clarifying technical queries with clients. The Electrical Proposal Engineer will analyze project drawings and specifications, select appropriate electrical materials and systems, and ensure proposals are accurate, competitive, and timely. Daily activities include updating proposal documentation, maintaining pricing and vendor information, supporting sales presentations, and contributing to continuous improvement of proposal processes.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Proposal Preparation and Proposal Writing skills, including experience with technical and commercial bid documentation.
- minimum of atleast 4 years experience in same field required

- Candidates should possess solid Electrical Engineering knowledge, with the ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and standards relevant to cables, panels, and industrial electrical systems.
- Candidates should possess Sales skills, including client interaction, understanding customer requirements, and supporting the sales team in negotiations.
- Candidates should possess Procurement-related skills, such as vendor coordination, basic cost analysis, and familiarity with electrical material sourcing.
- Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience in proposal engineering, tendering, or estimation within the electrical or electromechanical industry is highly beneficial.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency with MS Office and basic design or estimation tools.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work on-site in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.
