At ESDCS, we are looking to hire an Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) Engineer who is responsible for designing, installing, and maintaining the Instrumentation Systems. This multidisciplinary role combines electrical engineering (power distribution, Circuitry) with instrumentation engineering (sensors, measurement devices) and control systems (automation, PLC/DCS)
Core Job Responsibilities
- System Design & Development: Designing low-voltage power distribution systems, control circuits, and complex instrumentation layouts.
- Selection & Sizing: Specifying and sizing instruments for Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
- Automation & Control: Programming and configuring Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), Distributed Control Systems (DCS), and SCADA systems.
- Maintenance & Calibration: Overseeing routine preventive maintenance and calibrating systems to ensure precision and prevent plant downtime.
- Troubleshooting: Performing root-cause analysis (RCA) on equipment failures and fixing technical issues with instrumentation or electrical hardware.
- Project Management: Managing projects from conception to completion, including scheduling, and supervising projects.
Key Skills and Qualifications
- Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Instrumentation, or Electronics Engineering
- Understanding of Printed Circuit Boards and design
- Standards & Codes: Good understanding and knowledge of the National Electric Code (NEC) and international standards like ISA, IEEE, and IEC.
- Attention to Detail: Essential for reading loop sheets, wiring diagrams, and performing precise signal conditioning.
