Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai for a Junior Electrical Inspection Engineer. The role involves assisting in the inspection and evaluation of electrical systems, equipment, and installations to verify compliance with relevant codes, standards, and client specifications. The engineer will support senior inspectors in conducting site visits, preparing inspection reports, documenting findings, and following up on corrective actions. Daily tasks include reviewing technical drawings and documentation, performing basic tests and measurements, and communicating observations to project teams and clients. The position also includes maintaining accurate records, adhering to safety procedures, and participating in ongoing training to build technical expertise.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in electrical engineering principles, including power distribution, protection systems, and electrical safety.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, technical specifications, and equipment manuals.
- Basic experience with electrical testing and measuring instruments (e.g., multimeters, insulation testers, continuity testers).
- Attention to detail and capability to document inspection results clearly and accurately in written reports.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills to identify non-conformities and suggest practical corrective actions.
- Effective communication skills to interact with senior engineers, clients, contractors, and on-site personnel.
- Ability to work safely on industrial and commercial sites, following established health and safety procedures.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
- Interest in inspection, testing, certification, and regulatory compliance; prior internship or project experience in these areas is an advantage.
- Willingness to travel within Mumbai and nearby regions for site inspections as required.
