About the Role
APEX Technologies is seeking a driven and technically astute Electrical Hardware Engineer to join our growing engineering team. This role is central to our mission of delivering quality PCB testing solutions at an affordable price. The ideal candidate combines strong technical depth with a collaborative mindset — someone who can interpret customer requirements, select the right hardware, lead team execution, and continuously push the boundaries of our existing systems.
Key Responsibilities
1. Customer Requirement Analysis & Hardware Selection
• Engage with customers and internal stakeholders to understand technical requirements and
application constraints.
• Translate customer specifications into hardware selection criteria covering components, sensors,
connectors, and PCB test fixtures.
• Evaluate and qualify electrical components from vendors, ensuring compliance with performance and
reliability standards.
• Document hardware selection rationale and maintain a component selection matrix for reference.
2. Electrical Debugging & Hands-On Technical Execution
• Perform in-depth electrical debugging of PCBs, test fixtures, and embedded hardware using
oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analysers, and signal generators.
• Diagnose root causes of hardware failures and implement targeted corrective actions.
• Support bring-up and validation of new hardware designs in collaboration with the design team.
• Maintain detailed debug logs and failure analysis reports for traceability.
3. Team Work Plan Management
• Plan, schedule, and track the electrical team's daily and weekly work activities.
• Allocate tasks based on team member skills and project priority, ensuring timely delivery.
• Conduct regular team check-ins, resolve blockers, and escalate issues proactively.
• Mentor junior engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of technical excellence.
4. Innovation & Continuous Improvement
• Identify inefficiencies and limitations in existing electrical systems and test methodologies.
• Propose, prototype, and validate improvements that enhance reliability, throughput, or cost-
effectiveness.
• Introduce new testing techniques, tools, or automation approaches relevant to PCB testing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (software, mechanical) to drive system-level improvements.
Compensation & Benefits
Fixed CTC
6 to 10 LPA
Performance Bonus awarded based on individual and team performance metrics
Performance bonuses are reviewed on a quarterly / annual basis and are linked to clearly defined KPIs communicated at the time of joining.
Required Skills & Competencies
• Strong understanding of electrical hardware components, circuits, and system integration.
• Hands-on proficiency with electrical test and measurement instruments (oscilloscope, DMM, LCR
meter, signal generator, etc.).
• Ability to read, interpret, and create electrical schematics and PCB layouts.
• Experience with PCB design, Gerber data analysis, and test fixture design.
• Team leadership and work-plan management skills.
• Analytical approach to root-cause analysis and problem solving.
• Strong initiative — ability to identify gaps and drive improvements independently.
• Good communication skills for customer-facing interactions and internal coordination.
Qualifications & Experience
• B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
• 3–6 years of relevant industry experience in electrical hardware design, testing, or integration.
• Prior exposure to PCB testing environments is a strong advantage.
• Candidates with a track record of implementing process improvements or introducing new tools will
be given preference.
