Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Electrical Engineer located in Pune. We are looking for an Electrical Engineer to lead Electrical design, testing, validation, and production support of supercapacitor modules and hybrid energy storage systems for automotive, defense, railways, industrial, and energy storage applications.
Power Electronics & BMS integration
- Interface supercapacitor modules with:
- DC-DC converters
- Inverters
- Battery Management Systems (BMS)
- Support hybrid battery-supercapacitor system architecture
- Integrate current, voltage, and temperature sensing
Testing & Validation
- Define test plans for:
- ESR
- Capacitance
- Surge current
- Cranking current
- Thermal performance
- Cycle life
- Commission and operate:
- Charge-discharge testers
- Environmental chambers
- Hi-pot testers
- Conduct reliability tests:
- Vibration
- Shock
- Abuse tests
- Failure analysis and root cause investigation
Manufacturing responsibilities
- Support the electrical setup of:
- Module assembly line
- End-of-line (EOL) test stations
- Develop SOPs for:
- Electrical testing
- Commissioning
- Quality checks
- Design test jigs, fixtures, and load banks
- Troubleshoot electrical failures on the production floor
- Support scale-up from prototype to pilot and mass production
Qualifications
- B.Tech / M.Tech in Electrical / Electronics / Power Electronics
- Strong fundamentals in:
- DC power systems
- High-current design
- Power electronics
- EMI/EMC
- Hands-on experience with:
- Supercapacitors / Lithium batteries
- BMS
- Power converters
- Ability to read and create electrical drawings
- Experience with production testing equipment
