We are looking for a skilled and driven Assistant Manager – Electrical to oversee plant electrical maintenance and project execution. This role is critical in ensuring high equipment reliability, safety compliance, and continuous improvement across electrical systems and utilities.
Key Responsibilities
Plant Maintenance (Electrical Systems)
- Manage preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of HT/LT systems, transformers, switchgear (PCC/MCC/IMCC), VFD panels, UPS, DG sets, and utilities
- Ensure adherence to maintenance schedules using SAP PM / CMMS
- Diagnose and resolve electrical faults to minimize downtime
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions
- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and safety standards
Project Execution
- Support planning and execution of electrical projects including new installations, expansion, automation, and energy-saving initiatives
- Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and consultants for timely delivery
- Review technical drawings/specifications and ensure compliance with IEC/IS standards
- Drive digitalization and Industry 4.0 initiatives
Energy & Safety Management
- Monitor energy consumption and implement efficiency improvement initiatives
- Ensure proper functioning of protection systems (relays, ELCB, CBCT, earthing, etc.)
- Promote a strong safety culture (LOTO, permit-to-work, audits)
- Contribute to sustainability and renewable energy initiatives
Team & System Management
- Lead and mentor technicians/operators
- Maintain documentation (SOPs, reports, maintenance logs)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (production, mechanical, instrumentation)
- Support audits (ISO, safety, statutory, customer)
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Preventive maintenance compliance
- Reduction in breakdowns (MTBF/MTTR)
- Energy savings vs targets
- On-time and cost-effective project delivery
- Safety performance (zero LTI, audit scores)
Qualifications & Experience
- B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering
- 7–10 years of experience in electrical maintenance & projects in manufacturing/process industries
Skills Required
- Strong expertise in HT/LT systems, motors, drives, transformers, and control systems
- Hands-on experience with SAP PM / CMMS, AutoCAD, MS Project
- Knowledge of IEC/IS standards and statutory compliance
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and vendor management skills
