Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Electrical Engineer role based in Assam, India. The Electrical Engineer will design, review, and implement electrical systems for residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and safety regulations. Responsibilities include preparing electrical layouts, load calculations, and technical drawings, coordinating with civil and mechanical teams, and overseeing installation, testing, and commissioning at project sites. The role involves inspecting electrical work, troubleshooting issues, and supporting maintenance plans to ensure reliable and efficient operations. The Electrical Engineer will also assist in cost estimation, material selection, vendor coordination, and documentation, while providing technical input during project planning and execution.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of electrical design principles, power distribution, lighting, and control systems relevant to construction projects.
- Proficiency in using engineering design and drafting tools (e.g., AutoCAD or similar) and ability to read and prepare technical drawings and schematics.
- Understanding of applicable electrical codes, safety standards, and regulatory requirements for building and infrastructure projects.
- Ability to perform load calculations, prepare bills of materials, and support cost estimation and project planning activities.
- Experience in site supervision, inspection of electrical work, testing and commissioning, and troubleshooting electrical issues.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and vendors.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and commitment to quality and timely delivery.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline from a recognized institution.
- Relevant experience in construction or infrastructure projects in India; familiarity with projects in Assam or the Northeast region is an advantage.
- Willingness to work on-site at various project locations within Assam and adapt to field conditions as required.
