Job Title Summary
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Designer to join our dynamic team. The Electrical Designer will be responsible for creating, designing, and drafting various electrical layouts and schematics, including power, lighting, earthing, and cable routing. This role requires proficiency in AutoCAD, MicroStation, and other modeling software to produce accurate designs and assist in project execution. The ideal candidate will work closely with engineers and other disciplines to ensure the smooth integration and review of electrical designs.
Experience and Skill Set Requirements
Education: Diploma/ITI in Electrical Engineering from a reputed university or institute.
Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in electrical design, particularly in the areas of lighting, earthing, cable routing, equipment layout, and installation drawings.
Proficiency in design and drafting using AutoCAD and MicroStation software.
Experience with 3D modeling of cable trays, ducts, electrical equipment, and bulk items.
Knowledge of working with model review software like Navisworks and Smart Plant Review.
Experience in generating MTO reports and layout extractions from SP3D and Smart Sketch.
Proficient in AutoCAD, SP3D, Smart Sketch, and Navisworks.
Working knowledge of electrical design including power, lighting, earthing, and cable routing layouts.
Ability to perform lighting calculations using specialized software.
Familiarity with ISO and quality control procedures.
Strong understanding of electrical installation details and design standards.
Ability to create and review electrical schematics and layouts in both 2D and 3D formats.
Good working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel).
Strong communication skills (English preferred).
Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams.
Ability to assist in resolving interferences and clashes in designs.
Job Responsibilities
Reports to Principal Designer (PD)/Assigned Engineer (AE)/Lead Engineer (LE).
Design /drafting of various Electrical layouts and schematics using latest versions of AutoCAD and MicroStation software as directed by PD/AE and/or as per the requirement of the assigned job.
3-D modeling of Cable Trench/Cable Trays/Duct bank, Electrical equipment and other bulk items as per the requirement of project.
Coordination with designers/ engineers in other disciplines as directed by the PD/AE, and/or as per the requirement of the assigned job.
Good working knowledge of MCR, Lighting, Earthing and Power layouts
Working experience on latest 2D and 3D software like AutoCAD, Micro station, SP3D and Smart Sketch.
Good knowledge of extraction of 2D layouts/sections and MTO reports from SP3D and touchup using Smart Sketch.
Working experience of model review software like Navisworks and Smart Plant Review.
Experience in internal/ Client model review.
Good Knowledge of various Electrical installation details.
Familiarity with ISO/Quality control procedures.
Standardization of Drafting Procedures.
Helps PD/AE in resolving interferences/clash reports.
