We are seeking for skilled Mid-level Electrical Designers to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will engage in the designing, developing, and implementing of cutting-edge electrical systems for state-of-the-art industrial and high-tech manufacturing facilities serving global leaders in technology. As an Electrical Designer at SSOE, you will have a foundation in electrical design, focusing on low to medium voltage environments. The ideal candidate possesses experience with distribution panel loading, short circuit analysis, voltage drop calculations, conduit and conductor sizing, and cable tray fills. Responsibilities

- Develop detailed electrical design drawings and technical documentation for power distribution systems, including switchgear lineups, lighting layouts, grounding and lightning protection systems.
- Create and maintain Revit models for electrical systems, ensuring accurate representation of power distribution, lighting, grounding, and associated electrical components within the building information model.
- Utilize Revit to produce construction documents, electrical plans, panel schedules, and system diagrams that meet project requirements and client standards.
- Participate in BIM coordination efforts, including multi-discipline clash detection and resolution using tools such as Navisworks, collaborating with Mechanical, Structural, Architectural, and other discipline teams to ensure design integrity.
- Maintain BIM model quality and consistency by adhering to project BIM execution plans, company Revit standards, and established modeling best practices.
- Determine conduit, conductor, and wire sizing, meticulously accounting for current loads and environmental variables.
- Assess cable tray fills methodically to guarantee proper cable management, organization, and future scalability.
- Perform detailed short circuit calculations to accurately determine fault currents, select appropriate protective devices, and ensure system safety and reliability.
- Perform precise voltage drop calculations to ensure electrical system stability and compliance with industry standards.
- Ensure all electrical designs strictly adhere to pertinent local, state, and national electrical codes and regulations.
- Apply established electrical design techniques, such as load flow analysis and fault current calculations, and exercise discernment in adapting and modifying design concepts as needed. Uphold quality control by adhering to company and team electrical design standards and industry best practices.
- Will work with other Designers, Sr. Engineers, Project Managers, and other stakeholders on specific assigned objectives, complex features, and aid in deriving possible solutions to unusual problems.
- Foster collaboration, communication, strategy, and support within your team, multidisciplinary groups (Mechanical, Structural, Process/Chemical, Architectural, etc.), and inter-company teams to optimize efficiency, quality, and resource allocation.
Work timings– Morning 10.00am to 2.00pm IST and evening 08.00pm to 12:00am IST.

Qualifications
- Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering field is required. Additional certifications or coursework in BIM/Revit is a plus.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Revit is required, with experience in electrical modeling, documentation, and BIM coordination workflows.
- Minimum 3+ yrs experience with BIM coordination tools such as Navisworks for clash detection and multi-discipline coordination is required.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is preferred. Experience with other tools such as ETAP, SKM PowerTools, and/or EasyPower is a plus.
- Ability to produce power distribution schematics, panel schedules, lighting and grounding plans, and other system diagrams aligned with industry standards and client criteria.
- The ability to communicate digitally, verbally and in writing with local and international team members - fluency in English is required.
- Should be flexible to work in the evening hours to maintain the communication with the USA teams.
- Proficient in interpreting electrical one-line diagrams, creating construction documents, and collaborating within multidisciplinary project teams.
- Knowledge of U.S. electrical codes and standards (e.g., National Electric Code, NFPA, etc.) is required. Familiarity with IEC standards is a plus.
