Company Description
SANPAR Industries Private Limited, established in 1994 and headquartered in Bangalore, India, specializes in innovative thermal engineering solutions certified under ISO 9001 and AS9100 standards. The company offers a comprehensive range of products including compressed air dryers, filters, air/gas after coolers, and moisture management systems, as well as water/air chillers and industrial air conditioning systems for critical environments. SANPAR also plays a vital role in delivering sophisticated cooling systems for aerospace and defense applications in collaboration with the Government of India. With a commitment to engineering excellence, SANPAR serves diverse industries, ensuring high-quality and reliable solutions.
About the Role
We are looking for a hands-on Electrical & Electronics Engineer to join our engineering team manufacturing compressed air treatment systems, industrial cooling solutions, precision air conditioners, dehumidifiers, and aerospace-grade liquid cooling systems. The role spans the full product lifecycle — from electrical design and panel engineering of new equipment, through production support and panel wiring on the shop floor, to commissioning at customer sites across industrial, pharmaceutical, defence, and aerospace segments. The candidate will work on PLC-based, microcontroller-based, and conventional relay logic systems serving demanding industries where reliability is non-negotiable.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Development
- Design electrical control panels, power distribution schemes, and wiring diagrams for refrigerated dryers, desiccant dryers, chillers, dehumidifiers, precision air-conditioning units, and airborne cooling systems.
- Select appropriate electrical components — contactors, MCBs, MCCBs, SMPS, relays, VFDs, soft starters, motor protection relays, temperature/pressure transmitters, and HMIs — based on load, environmental, and certification requirements.
- Develop PLC ladder logic and HMI/SCADA screens (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Schneider, Mitsubishi, or Delta platforms) for equipment control, alarm management, and data logging.
- Prepare GA drawings, schematics, bill of materials (BOM), wiring schedules, and cable schedules using AutoCAD Electrical / EPLAN.
- Design embedded electronic controller boards where applicable, including PCB layout, sensor interfacing, and firmware coordination with the embedded team.
Production & Quality
- Supervise control panel assembly, harness preparation, and wiring on the shop floor; ensure compliance with IS/IEC standards and customer specifications.
- Conduct in-process inspection, continuity tests, insulation resistance (IR) tests, hi-pot tests, and functional testing of finished panels and assembled units.
- Support the FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) process and prepare test reports for customer and third-party inspection agencies (DGAQA, CEMILAC, customer QA).
- Troubleshoot electrical and electronic issues during assembly, testing, and pre-dispatch validation.
Commissioning & Service Support
- Travel to customer sites (defence establishments, aerospace facilities, pharma plants, steel and process industries) for installation, commissioning, and start-up of equipment.
- Train customer operators and maintenance teams on electrical operation, controls, and safe troubleshooting.
- Provide remote and on-site technical support for warranty and post-warranty service calls.
Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure all designs and builds comply with applicable standards — IS 8623, IEC 61439, IEC 60204-1, AS 9100D, and customer-specific defence/aerospace standards (JSS 55555, MIL-STD where applicable).
- Maintain design documentation, ECNs (Engineering Change Notes), and traceability records per ISO 9001 and AS 9100D quality systems.
- Support audits by customers, certification bodies, and internal QA.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction, component standardization, and reliability improvement.
- Stay current with IoT, IIoT, energy monitoring, and remote-condition-monitoring technologies; help develop next-generation connected products.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong fundamentals in electrical machines, power electronics, control systems, and industrial instrumentation.
- Hands-on experience with PLC programming (ladder logic, function block); HMI design experience preferred.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical and/or EPLAN for schematic and panel design.
- Working knowledge of VFDs, servo drives, three-phase motor control, single-phase and three-phase power distribution.
- Familiarity with sensors and instrumentation used in HVAC/refrigeration: RTDs, thermocouples, pressure transducers, dew-point sensors, flow meters.
- Understanding of refrigeration and compressed-air system electricals (compressor starters, condenser fan control, solenoid valves, expansion valve controls) is a strong plus.
- Exposure to embedded systems, microcontrollers (8051/PIC/ARM/STM32), and PCB design tools (Altium, KiCad, Eagle) is advantageous for product-development roles.
- Knowledge of EMI/EMC, ingress protection (IP ratings), and environmental qualification testing relevant to aerospace/defence applications is highly valued.
- Good documentation discipline and ability to read mechanical GA drawings to coordinate electrical layouts.
Preferred (Good to Have)
- Prior experience with compressed air, HVAC, refrigeration, or process cooling equipment manufacturers.
- Exposure to AS 9100D / DGAQA / CEMILAC qualification processes for airborne or ground-support equipment.
- Knowledge of energy auditing for compressed air systems.
- IIoT / remote monitoring platform experience (MQTT, Modbus TCP, OPC-UA).
What We Offer
- Opportunity to work on mission-critical equipment for India's defence and aerospace programs alongside conventional industrial products.
- Exposure to the complete product lifecycle — design through commissioning.
- Collaborative engineering culture in a 30+ year established manufacturing setup.
- Competitive salary, performance incentives, and benefits per company policy.
