Role Description The Electrical Design Engineer role at BSE|3D is a full-time, on-site position based in Gurgaon. The Electrical Design Engineer will be responsible for designing and developing electrical building services solutions for complex and high-performance environments, including power distribution, lighting, and low-voltage systems. Daily tasks include producing detailed designs and calculations, preparing technical drawings and specifications, coordinating with multidisciplinary MEP teams, and ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards. The role also involves attending client and design team meetings, supporting project delivery from concept to completion, and contributing to sustainable, best-value engineering solutions. The Electrical Design Engineer will be expected to collaborate closely with colleagues, maintain accurate documentation, and support continuous improvement in design quality and efficiency.
Qualifications
- Strong electrical building services design skills, including power distribution, lighting, and low-voltage systems for commercial, industrial, or mission-critical projects.
- Proficiency with design and drafting software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar BIM tools, and familiarity with relevant calculation and simulation software.
- Solid understanding of local and international electrical codes, standards, and regulations, with the ability to apply them effectively in project work.
- Effective project coordination and communication skills, including the ability to work within multidisciplinary MEP teams and interact with clients and stakeholders.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and a focus on producing accurate, efficient, and practical design solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline; professional certifications or memberships (e.g., IET, relevant engineering councils) are an advantage.
- Experience in complex, mission-critical, or high-performance environments (such as data centers, healthcare, or large commercial buildings) is highly beneficial.
