Company Description ThinkSpace BIM Solutions Private Limited provides specialized BIM training, implementation, and modeling services across a wide range of projects. The company supports multiple disciplines, including Architecture, Structure, and MEP services, ensuring coordinated and clash-free project delivery. Services are delivered from LOD 100 to LOD 500, covering concept through detailed fabrication and as-built stages. ThinkSpace BIM Solutions focuses on high-quality, discipline-specific BIM workflows that help clients improve accuracy, efficiency, and collaboration. Team members work in an environment that values technical excellence and continuous learning in BIM best practices.
Role Description The Electrical BIM Modeler will create, develop, and maintain detailed electrical BIM models for building projects in coordination with architecture, structure, and other MEP disciplines. This full-time remote role involves interpreting construction drawings and specifications, modeling electrical systems (such as power, lighting, cable tray, and low-voltage systems), and maintaining model accuracy throughout project stages. The Electrical BIM Modeler will participate in coordination and clash detection, incorporate design changes, and ensure models meet required LOD standards and company BIM protocols. Daily tasks include collaborating with project engineers and designers, preparing model-based drawings, organizing model data, and supporting quality checks to ensure constructability and compliance with project requirements. The role also involves documenting modeling standards, sharing best practices with the team, and contributing to continuous improvement of BIM processes.
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools and workflows, with experience in LOD-based modeling for building projects.
- Practical understanding of Electrical systems within the broader Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) domain, including coordination with other disciplines.
- Experience working from and interpreting construction drawings, plans, and specifications to develop accurate 3D models and 2D outputs.
- Familiarity with architectural concepts and building layouts to ensure proper routing, coordination, and placement of electrical systems.
- Prior experience as a BIM Modeler or similar modeling role in the AEC industry, preferably with exposure to MEP-focused projects.
- Proficiency in relevant BIM or CAD software (e.g., Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, or similar tools) and basic understanding of clash detection processes.
- Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in electrical BIM modeling.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage tasks to deadlines, and communicate clearly with multidisciplinary project teams.
- Attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to maintaining modeling standards and documentation quality.
