Role Description The Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer will work on the design, installation, configuration, and maintenance of electrical and instrumentation systems for pharmaceutical automation projects. Day-to-day responsibilities include supporting PLC and SCADA integration, ensuring reliable process control, performing on-site inspections, calibrations, and testing of instruments, and addressing electrical and control system issues to minimize downtime. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement audit trails, data logging, and validation-ready solutions in line with industry standards and client requirements. Documentation of system configurations, maintenance activities, and compliance-related records will be a key part of the role. This is a full-time hybrid position based in Hyderabad, with a mix of on-site work at client and company locations and some work-from-home flexibility.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Electrical Engineering and Electricity, including industrial power distribution, wiring, and safety practices.
- Demonstrated experience in Instrumentation and Process Control, covering sensors, transmitters, control loops, and automation in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in Troubleshooting electrical and instrumentation systems, diagnosing faults, and implementing corrective actions in live production settings.
- Relevant bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Familiarity with PLC and SCADA systems used in industrial automation; experience in pharmaceutical or other regulated industries is an advantage.
- Understanding of validation, audit trails, and data logging requirements for compliant automation solutions.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, P&IDs, wiring diagrams, and documentation standards.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work safely on-site and independently when working from home.
- Willingness to travel to client facilities within and around Hyderabad as project needs require.
