Roles & Responsibilities
- Responsible for Instrument & Electrical (E&I) design, deliverables and package engineering for EPC process packages and skids.
- Responsible for preparation of electrical, instrumentation & control engineering design documentation, including datasheets, lists & schedules, E&IC diagrams, layout drawings.
- Sound knowledge in E&I equipment engineering specifications and standards, as well as with industrial standards and international codes and standards.
- Ensure compliance of E&IC installations designed and built by REI (or its subcontractors) with all relevant codes & standards.
- Prepare Request for Quotations (RFQ’s) to define scope of sub-contracted work. Review quotes from sub-contractors, prepare Technical Bid Evaluations (TBE) as well as Purchase Order Requisitions (PORs) and perform vendor selection.
- Responsible as Package Engineer for E&I packages, monitoring package progress and performing engineering review on Supplier documents.
- Ensure all the tasks related to electrical, instrumentation and control are being executed as per approved drawings & proper utilization of materials.
- Participate in project scrum meetings. Manage, monitor and report on the status of E&IC design of the project.
- Construction support to resolve technical issues with project & site team as well as clients, suppliers, subcontractors and statutory authorities.
- Responsible to provide Engineering Support at site, attend Field E&I & Control System Inspection, FAT at supplier’s workshop and SAT at site.
- Involvement in design reviews, HAZOP, SIL review, model reviews.
- An effective team player with good communication and interpersonal skills.
Electrical Engineering Deliverables in Packages:
- Lighting Illumination (Lux) Calculation
- Electrical Single Line Diagram
- Electrical Load List
- Electrical Cable Schedule
- Junction Box or Local Control Station Schedule
- Electrical Main Equipment Sizing, and Cable Sizin
- Data Sheets, Technical Evaluation and Package Management of HV and LV Motors
- Electrical Drawings such as Electrical Cable Routing Layout, Lighting Layout, typical installation details etc.
Special Skills & Knowledge:
Strong knowledge of process control systems (PLC, ICSS), electrical equipment, including motors, variable speed drives, switchgear and cables
Sound knowledge of process measurement and control instrumentation, mainly on pressure, temperature and level applications
Proven ability to analyze and resolve technical matters, particularly with international EPCs and suppliers
Good knowledge of AutoCAD and Navisworks
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical and/or Instrumentation Engineering
Experience: 8+ years of relevant experience
