Eisner Health is seeking a Dental Assistant to support our Dental Team. Incumbents in this position are expected to support all organizational expectations including, but not limited to; customer service, patient's rights, confidentiality of information, the environment of care and Eisner Health initiatives. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Assist dentist chairside during procedures
- Prepare patients for treatment and procedures
- Set up and organize instruments, materials, and equipment
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and operatories
- Take and record patient vital signs (e.g., blood pressure)
- Take dental radiographs (X-rays) (if licensed)
- Perform intraoral and extraoral photography
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
- Maintain accurate patient records and charting
- Take intraoral impressions for non-prosthodontic appliances
- Apply topical agents such as fluoride (under supervision)
- Place and remove rubber dams and matrices
- Remove sutures and periodontal dressings (after dentist evaluation)
- Assist patients with post-treatment cleanup and instructions
- Manage infection control procedures according to guidelines
- Stock and replenish dental supplies and operatories
- Maintain inventory and report broken equipment
- Answer phones and assist with scheduling and patient communication
- Confirm appointments and follow up with no-show patients
- Support off-site dental screenings and education events
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Must possess a High School Diploma/GED.
- Must be fluent in Bilingual English and Spanish.
- Prior Dental Assisting experience preferred.
- Possess a certification as a Dental Assistant
- Must have a current CPR Certification
