NodeJS Developer

Overview

Join Eighty Days, a small, dynamic travel utility company based in Mumbai, as a Sr. Backend Engineer specializing in Node.js. This role is ideal for an individual contributor with aspirations to lead a team in the future, focusing on developing innovative backend solutions for our platform.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in backend development with Node.js.
• Proven experience in building products from 0 to 1.
• Experience working in a small team of 4-5 engineers.
• Strong understanding of server-side languages and frameworks.
• Experience integrating large language models and APIs.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to move quickly with requirements.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain server-side components using Node.js.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
• Ensure robust and secure applications.
• Integrate third-party APIs, including LLM APIs like OpenAI, LLaMA, and Gemini.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and apply them effectively.

Interview Process

1. Initial Screening - Brief overview of your background and fit for the role.
2. Intro call with the Founder - Informal discussion to get to know you better.
3. Technical Round - In-depth technical interview to assess your skills.
4. Final Round with the Founder - Comprehensive discussion to finalize your candidacy.

Work Setup

• Location: Mumbai (Tardeo)
• Working Hours: 10 AM to 8 PM
• No relocation bonus is offered.
• A MacBook Air M1 will be provided.
