About the role

The Engine Testing Engineer will be responsible for conducting performance tests, analyzing critical engine parameters, and ensuring compliance with emission standards. This role requires technical expertise in engine testing, hands-on experience with testing equipment, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Key Responsibilities: 1. Engine Performance Testing Conduct engine performance tests to evaluate power output, torque, fuel efficiency, and overall reliability. Use advanced test equipment to measure engine performance under various conditions. Identify potential efficiency improvements and recommend design changes to enhance engine functionality. 2. Durability & Emissions Testing Perform durability tests to assess engine life, wear resistance, and long-term reliability. Conduct emissions testing to ensure compliance with the latest environmental norms, including BSVI and Euro 6 standards. Work with emissions testing systems to measure NOx, CO2, particulate matter, and other key pollutants. 3. Data Analysis & Reporting Analyze engine fuel efficiency, power output, and NVH (Noise, Vibration, and Harshness) characteristics to optimize performance. Interpret test data and generate detailed reports for engineering teams and management. Utilize statistical analysis tools to detect trends and irregularities in test results. 4. Compliance & Quality Assurance Ensure all test procedures comply with industry regulations and company standards. Work closely with the quality assurance team to maintain high testing standards. Implement corrective measures in case of test failures or deviations. 5. Test Plan Development & Execution Develop comprehensive test plans to evaluate engines under different operating conditions. Execute structured test methodologies to ensure consistency and accuracy in results. Modify and improve existing test protocols to align with technological advancements. 6. Collaboration & Troubleshooting Work closely with design, calibration, and validation teams to optimize engine performance. Identify and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and software-related issues in engines. Participate in cross-functional meetings to discuss performance improvements and innovation strategies.
