About the Company
Ultratech is a company focused on delivering reliable, high-quality operations with a strong emphasis on compliance, safety, and responsible execution. The team values practical problem-solving, disciplined follow-through, and collaboration across functions to keep work aligned with business and regulatory expectations.
This role sits in an environment where accuracy, ownership, and timely execution matter, and where people are expected to contribute to both day-to-day delivery and long-term operational quality. The company works with a results-oriented mindset and values employees who can learn quickly, handle structured processes, and support work that has clear business and compliance impact.
About the Role
The EIA Trainee/Executive will support environmental impact assessment-related work through documentation, coordination, data preparation, and compliance support. The role is designed for someone who can learn regulatory workflows quickly and contribute to accurate reporting, internal coordination, and timely completion of deliverables.
The position requires attention to detail, willingness to work on-site, and the ability to support field and office-based requirements as needed. Success in this role comes from handling environmental tasks with consistency, supporting project requirements, and helping the team maintain quality and compliance across assigned work.
Key Responsibilities
- Support preparation and review of environmental impact assessment documentation, ensuring the inputs are complete, accurate, and aligned with internal and regulatory requirements. The outcome is faster, more reliable submission-quality work.
- Coordinate with internal teams and site stakeholders to collect data, clarify inputs, and close gaps that could delay deliverables. This keeps environmental reporting moving on time and reduces rework.
- Assist in field visits, observations, and data collection when required, translating site information into usable records for the team. The result is better decision-making grounded in current project conditions.
- Maintain project files, trackers, and compliance records so that information remains organized, auditable, and easy to retrieve. This improves control, traceability, and continuity across assignments.
- Support the team in tracking deadlines, follow-ups, and pending items related to EIA work and associated approvals. This helps the business stay ahead of risk and avoid avoidable delays.
- Prepare summaries, notes, and supporting documents for reviews, meetings, and submissions. This ensures leaders have the right information to take timely action.
- Learn and apply environmental regulations, standards, and internal procedures as part of everyday execution. The business impact is stronger compliance and fewer process errors.
Essential Skills & Technologies
- Strong understanding of environmental science fundamentals, especially concepts linked to EIA, compliance, and sustainability. This helps the candidate interpret project requirements correctly and support meaningful analysis.
- Good written and verbal communication skills to coordinate with internal teams, site personnel, and reviewers. Clear communication reduces delays and keeps work aligned across stakeholders.
- Strong documentation and data handling skills, including the ability to organize information, maintain records, and prepare accurate reports. Reliable documentation is essential for compliance and traceability.
- Working knowledge of environmental regulations, approvals, and assessment processes relevant to the role. This supports better judgment and reduces the chance of process gaps.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel and Word, for trackers, reporting, and coordination. These tools help convert raw inputs into usable work outputs.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, follow deadlines, and work with attention to detail under guidance. This ensures steady execution in a role where accuracy matters.
- Comfort working onsite and supporting field-based or cross-functional requirements when needed. This improves responsiveness and helps connect office work to real site conditions.
Additional Plus
- Prior internship, project work, or exposure to EIA, environmental compliance, or site documentation will be considered an advantage. It shows faster readiness to contribute with less hand-holding.
- Familiarity with report preparation, data collection, or environmental audit support is helpful. It can improve speed and confidence in handling assigned tasks.
- Basic understanding of industry operations and how environmental work connects to business execution will be valued. It helps the candidate see impact beyond task completion.
What You'll Bring
- A learning mindset and the discipline to absorb environmental processes quickly, then apply them consistently in daily work. This matters because the role depends on dependable execution more than theory alone.
- Attention to detail in records, documents, and data, with the ability to spot gaps before they become delays or compliance issues. That discipline protects quality and reduces rework.
- A collaborative approach to working with teams, sites, and reviewers to close information gaps and complete deliverables on time. The role succeeds through coordinated execution.
- Ownership of assigned tasks, with the ability to follow through until the work is complete and usable. This creates trust and keeps the team moving without bottlenecks.
