Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) Specialist located in Ahmedabad. The EHS Specialist will lead efforts in ensuring compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations, implement safety policies, conduct risk assessments, and promote workplace safety culture. Responsibilities also include developing training programs, managing audits and inspections, and proactively identifying and mitigating potential hazards. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and maintaining comprehensive documentation will be essential components of the role.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of environmental regulations, occupational health standards, and safety protocols
- Experience in conducting risk assessments, safety audits, and workplace inspections
- Skills in developing and delivering training programs related to EHS
- Ability to manage EHS documentation and ensure regulatory compliance
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Proficiency in using digital tools for audit management and data tracking
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health, Safety Engineering, or a related field
- Knowledge of laboratory and pharmaceutical industry safety standards is an advantage
- Relevant EHS certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent are a plus
