About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented EHS Lead Auditor to oversee and conduct audits related to Environment, Health, and Safety systems. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, identifying risks, and driving continuous improvement across organizational processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, schedule, and conduct internal and external EHS audits.
- Lead audit teams and ensure audits are conducted as per applicable standards (ISO 14001, ISO 45001, etc.).
- Evaluate compliance with legal, regulatory, and company-specific EHS requirements.
- Identify non-conformities, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Prepare detailed audit reports and present findings to management.
- Monitor and follow up on corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Ensure proper documentation and maintenance of audit records.
- Provide guidance and training to internal teams on EHS standards and best practices.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams for audit readiness and compliance.
- Stay updated with changes in EHS regulations and industry standards.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Environmental Science / Occupational Health & Safety or related field.
- Certification as Lead Auditor in ISO 14001 and/or ISO 45001 (mandatory).
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in EHS auditing or compliance roles.
- Strong knowledge of EHS laws, regulations, and standards.
- Excellent analytical, reporting, and documentation skills.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Willingness to travel for audits.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in manufacturing, construction, or industrial environments.
- Knowledge of risk assessment techniques and incident investigation.
- Familiarity with ESG or sustainability practices is an added advantage.
