Job Title: Technical Author - APAC Powergen

Position Summary
This position performs technical content creation for technical publications for engine and systems to ensure maintenance work. This role fulfills the technical documentation requirement with current market requirement in terms of technical manuals and 3D interactive documents for APAC Powergen. This role will steer the external partnering and get the work done according to RR guidelines.
Key Accountabilities
- Analysis and Support for technical documentation requirement for APAC market
- Order evaluation from business unit
- Develop and approve the technical content of technical publications/communications (used by OEM, build/commissioning/maintenance bases and customers, SPC ) including acceptance limit development.
- Coordinate and execute technical documents (QL manuals, Spare parts catalog) creation for Powergen APAC region steering with external partnering (India, Singapore, China, Japan)
- Quality checking and coordination of projects with partnering
- Coordinate with Cross functional teams for content development
- Create and update style guides for multimedia content
- Steer external partnering to get done the graphic creation work.
Basic Requirement
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Automotive, Electrical, or Automation, Engineering (or equivalent) with minimum 5-7 years experience in technical publications
- Knowledge of components/ systems functionality
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in technical writing in content management system
- Experience of working on complex tasks that are novel and ambiguous
- Able to create multimedia content with different tools
- Handle partnering with stringent timelines for deliveries
- Tools such as SAP, Windchill, any CMS tool, Creo
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge about Diesel, Gas engines and gensets
- Hands-on skills in technical write up creation, 3D manual creation, animation development
- Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
- Ability to read and interpret general procedures
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Experience of the creation of guidelines
- Experience in support/lead cross-functional teams e.g. specialists, suppliers, customers, partners
