Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site position for an Educational Travel Consultant based in the Kolkata metropolitan area. The role entails designing and managing educational travel packages, assisting clients with travel arrangements, handling travel reservations, and providing outstanding customer service. The consultant will collaborate with schools, universities, and other organizations to develop customized travel itineraries, ensuring an enriching and memorable experience for the clients.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Travel Consulting, Travel Management, and crafting educational travel itineraries
- Experience in managing Travel Arrangements and Reservations
- Strong Customer Service skills to ensure client satisfaction
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a team-oriented and fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with the regional destinations, tourism industry, and local attractions is an advantage
- Proficiency in using travel and booking software is preferred
- Degree or certification in Tourism, Hospitality, or a relevant field is highly desirable
- Curriculum Mapping: Matching itineraries to specific school subjects.
- Group Logistics: Managing bulk airfare, student-friendly lodging, and local transport.
- Risk Management: Implementing safety audits and Duty of Care protocols for minors.
- Stakeholder Management: Liaising between school boards, parents, and vendors.
- Budgeting: Negotiating group rates to maintain affordability.
