Work Timings: 10 am to 7 pm (work from office)
Work Days: Monday to Saturday (two Saturdays off in a month, after probation)
ABOUT THE ROLE
Aviotron Aerospace Pvt. Ltd. is India’s leading K–12 experiential Ed-tech company building industrial-grade STEM skill labs and hands-on learning kits. We are looking for a Educational Toy Designer to design and develop innovative mechatronics-based products, STEM kits and experiential learning systems for K-12 students. Work across mechanical design, electronics, prototyping and product innovation to create functional, safe and education-focused solutions. Collaborate with curriculum and production teams to convert ideas into scalable, student-friendly products. Contribute to building hands-on models and systems in robotics, automation, AI, aerospace and smart technologies.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and develop age appropriate mechatronics products, prototypes and educational kits
- Create 2D/3D designs for components, structures, enclosures and assemblies
- Integrate sensors, motors, actuators, controllers and embedded systems into working prototypes
- Build, test, troubleshoot and improve prototypes for performance, safety and durability
- Prepare design files, BOMs, technical drawings and assembly documentation
- Coordinate with production and sourcing teams for fabrication, components and assembly feasibility
- Ensure products are practical for manufacturing, classroom use and scale
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum qualification – post graduation in Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electronics, Robotics, Automation or a related field, 2+ year experience in STEM education, product designing.
- Ability to simplify concepts for young learners
- Passion for experiential learning and innovation
- Proficiency in CAD tools such as SolidWorks, Fusion 360, AutoCAD, or similar
- Working knowledge of Arduino, microcontrollers, basic programming and hardware interfacing
- Hands-on experience in prototyping, testing and product development
- Familiarity with 3D printing, laser cutting, CNC or related fabrication methods
- Strong problem solving, debugging and documentation skills
- Prior experience in robotics, automation products, hardware startups or educational kits is a plus
