Role Description The Educational Counselor will provide one-on-one counseling to students and families, helping them identify suitable courses, universities, and countries based on academic profiles, career goals, and financial considerations. This full-time, on-site role in Vishakhapatnam involves conducting information sessions, guiding students through application and documentation processes, and coordinating with universities and internal teams to ensure timely submissions. The counselor will assist students with scholarship options, visa requirements, and interview preparation, while maintaining accurate records of student interactions and progress. Daily responsibilities also include responding to inquiries, updating students on application status, organizing workshops or seminars, and contributing to outreach activities to increase awareness of overseas education opportunities.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Educational Consulting and Education domain knowledge relevant to overseas study pathways.
- Candidates should possess skills in Student Counseling and Career Counseling to guide learners on academic and career decisions.
- Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills, including clear spoken and written English, and the ability to explain complex processes simply.
- Relevant experience in academic advising, overseas education consulting, or similar student-facing roles is highly beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Counseling, Psychology, Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple student cases, and maintain accurate documentation and follow-up.
- Strong interpersonal skills, cultural sensitivity, and a student-centric approach to service.
- Comfort with using digital tools, CRM or counseling software, and standard office applications for communication and record-keeping.
