Job Summary:
The Admission Counselor is responsible for guiding prospective students through the enrollment process, providing information about academic programs, admission requirements, financial aid, and campus life. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, a passion for education, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for prospective students and their families throughout the admission process.
- Conduct one-on-one counseling sessions in person, via phone, email.
- Participate in college fairs, high school visits, and community outreach events to recruit potential students.
- Review and evaluate student applications, transcripts, test scores, and other admissions materials.
- Provide accurate information about academic programs, financial aid, and campus services.
- Maintain accurate records of student interactions using CRM or other database systems.
- Assist in planning and hosting campus tours, open houses, and other admissions events.
- Collaborate with academic departments and other university offices to ensure a smooth admission process.
- Meet or exceed enrollment targets and other performance goals.
