Role Description The Educational Visa Counselor is a full-time, on-site role based in Ahmedabad. This role involves providing guidance to students on international education options, visa processes, and admission requirements, while helping them choose suitable courses and institutions. The counselor will conduct one-on-one counseling sessions, explain documentation needs, assist with application forms, and coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders as required. Daily responsibilities include maintaining accurate student records, following up on inquiries, preparing students for interviews or visa appointments, and ensuring compliance with relevant policies and regulations. The role also requires participation in events, seminars, and outreach activities to promote education and migration services, while delivering high-quality, ethical counsel to every student.
Qualifications
- Strong Educational Consulting and Education domain knowledge, with the ability to guide students on courses, institutions, and study destinations.
- Hands-on Student Counseling and Career Counseling experience, supporting learners in making informed academic and career decisions.
- Excellent Communication skills, including clear spoken and written English, active listening, and the ability to explain complex processes simply.
- Prior experience in visa or overseas education counseling, admission processes, or related advisory roles is highly beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Counseling, Management, or a related field; advanced qualifications or counseling certifications are an advantage.
- Strong interpersonal skills, cultural sensitivity, and a client-focused mindset, with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Good organizational and time-management skills, attention to detail in documentation, and basic proficiency with CRM tools and office software.
