About the role
Great teaching deserves a bigger classroom. At [Company Name], we create learning content that helps K-12 students, parents, and teachers — and we’re looking for a creator who can turn educational ideas into scroll-stopping posts, reels, and carousels across LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook. This is a builder role. Our social presence is just getting started, which means you won’t inherit a playbook — you’ll help write it. You’ll work directly with the founder, use AI tools daily to move fast, and see the direct impact of your work in follower growth and engagement.
What you’ll do
• Plan, create, and publish educational content (posts, carousels, reels, and short videos) for LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook on a consistent weekly schedule.
• Use AI tools (ChatGPT/Claude, Canva AI, and similar) to research, draft, design, and repurpose content efficiently — while adding the human judgment that makes it accurate and engaging.
• Translate K-12 concepts into clear, age-appropriate, and parent/teacher-friendly content.
• Write compelling hooks, captions, and CTAs adapted to each platform’s style.
• Design graphics and edit short-form videos/reels that match our brand.
• Track basic performance metrics (reach, engagement, follower growth) and iterate on what works.
• Engage with comments and community to build an audience from the ground up
What success looks like in year one
• A consistent, recognizable content presence on all three platforms. • A repeatable AI-assisted content workflow: ideation → draft → design → publish → analyze.
• Measurable audience growth and a library of proven, high-performing content formats.
What we’re looking for (must-haves)
• 0–2 years of experience creating social media content (internships, personal/creator accounts, or freelance work all count — show us your work).
• Hands-on familiarity with AI content tools such as ChatGPT and Canva AI. • Ability to create short-form video/reels: shooting, editing, captions, trends.
• Graphic design skills (Canva or similar) with a good eye for clean, readable visuals.
• Strong copywriting in English: hooks, captions, and clear explanations.
• Background or strong grounding in K-12 education (teaching, tutoring, content, or coursework) — you understand how students learn and what parents and teachers care about.
Nice to have
• A portfolio or active account (Instagram/LinkedIn/YouTube) showing educational content.
• Basic video tools beyond Canva (CapCut, InShot, Premiere) and scheduling tools (Buffer, Meta Business Suite).
• Comfort appearing on camera or doing voiceovers.
