Facility Maintenance
Position Summary:
Responsible for maintaining the lobby, offices, and general school cleanliness while complying with federal and state guidelines.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ability to follow directions of the Campus Director as well as management staff in accordance with assigned work duties and daily/weekly checklists.
- Follow all safety standards and training guidelines
- Maintain and secure doors/entrances as instructed
- Keep building, furniture, equipment, and school property, as well as outside grounds, to an acceptable level of cleanliness.
- Maintain and operate equipment, such as floor buffers, mops, and vacuums, to achieve an acceptable level of cleanliness.
- Discarding trash and/or boxes, emptying trash receptacles daily
- Submit a list of cleaning items, as well as needed supplies, promptly
- Make minor repairs as needed
- Assemble items and small equipment
- Report to Management or the Director any needed repairs and/or safety concerns
- Maintenance care for custodial equipment and instruction for proper usage
- Ability to independently arrange and move objects weighing up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to perform outside labor, including, but not limited to, minimal upkeep of school grounds
- Ability to maintain prolonged standing/walking as shifts require
- Willingness to assist with physical lifting as requested/needed
- To perform other duties as assigned
- Regular and reliable attendance
Skills/Competencies/Qualifications:
- Possesses a high school diploma or equivalent
- Possesses extensive relevant experience in facilities maintenance
- Recognizes and solves problems
Classification: non-exempt
Work Hours: part-time hours, which may include evening and/or weekend hours
Travel: none
Working Environment: Interior/Office, some outdoors
