Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Edtech Business Development Manager role based in Bengaluru. The Edtech BDM will identify and pursue new business opportunities in the education technology sector, focusing on building a strong pipeline of institutional and corporate clients. Responsibilities include prospecting, qualifying leads, conducting product demos, and pitching Globelance’s solutions to decision-makers in schools, colleges, training companies, and corporate learning teams. The role involves managing the complete sales cycle from initial outreach to contract closure, negotiating terms, and ensuring smooth handover to implementation teams. The BDM will also track market trends, gather client feedback, collaborate with marketing and product teams to refine offerings, and work towards monthly and quarterly revenue targets, with compensation up to 9 LPA based on experience and performance.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in business development or sales, preferably in Edtech, education, SaaS, or related B2B environments.
- Strong skills in lead generation, prospecting, pipeline management, and end-to-end deal closure.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities with comfort engaging CXOs and institutional stakeholders.
- Ability to understand client needs, propose relevant solutions, and maintain long-term, trust-based relationships.
- Data-driven mindset with experience using CRM tools and sales analytics to track activities and performance.
- Self-motivated, target-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Education, or a related field; an MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
- Familiarity with the Indian Edtech landscape and networks within schools, colleges, and training organizations is a plus.
