Role Description The EDP role at Aakash Educational Services Limited is a full-time, on-site position based in Shillong. The individual will handle day-to-day educational data processing activities, including accurate entry of student information, maintenance of records, and timely updates to internal systems. The role involves coordinating with academic and administrative teams to ensure data integrity, preparing reports for management, and supporting exam- and course-related documentation. The EDP professional will troubleshoot data-related issues, follow standard operating procedures, and adhere to institutional policies and timelines. The position requires a detail-oriented approach, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced educational environment.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong data management and documentation skills, including data entry, record maintenance, and basic reporting.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in computer applications, such as MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and web-based management systems.
- Candidates should possess solid organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks, deadlines, and exam-related processes.
- Candidates should possess clear written and verbal communication skills to coordinate with academic, operations, and support teams.
- Candidates should possess problem-solving and analytical abilities to identify data inconsistencies and suggest improvements.
- Relevant experience in educational administration, test-prep operations, or similar roles is beneficial.
- A graduate degree in any discipline; a background in commerce, computer applications, or education administration is an added advantage.
- Ability to work on-site in Shillong, demonstrate integrity with sensitive student information, and align with AESL’s “Student First” approach.
