Editorial Intern (School Textbooks | NEP 2020 & NCF 2023)
Location: (Moti Nagar, New Delhi / On-site)
Duration: Minimum 3 months (with possibility of Pre-Placement Offer)
About the Role
We are looking for Editorial Interns who are passionate about school education and academic publishing. The role involves working on manuscripts for school textbooks from Nursery to Grade 8 across multiple subjects.
The intern will assist in editing, proofreading, reviewing, and improving textbook content to ensure clarity, accuracy, and alignment with contemporary curricular frameworks such as NEP 2020 and NCF 2023.
This internship offers hands-on exposure to textbook development, curriculum-aligned content creation, and editorial workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Proofreading and editing textbook manuscripts
- Reviewing content for clarity, grammar, and age-appropriate language
- Checking exercises, examples, and instructions for accuracy
- Ensuring consistency in style, formatting, and terminology
- Assisting with editorial review of school textbooks across multiple subjects (Nursery–Grade 8)
- Supporting alignment of content with NEP 2020 and NCF 2023 principles
- Assisting in reviewing worksheets, activities, and assessments
- Coordinating with the editorial team during the manuscript development process
Eligibility
We are looking for candidates who:
- Have excellent command over written English
- Are comfortable working with school-level academic content (Nursery–Grade 8)
- Have basic familiarity with NEP 2020 and NCF 2023
- Have strong attention to detail and language accuracy
- Have a keen interest in education, curriculum design, and learning materials
- Possess strong critical thinking skills and the ability to approach content with creativity and clarity in writing
- Applicants should have a genuine interest in reading, editing, and working with academic or educational content.
Preferred Backgrounds
Graduates, postgraduates, and students currently pursuing graduation, postgraduation, or part-time PhD programmes from the following fields are encouraged to apply:
- English Literature
- Liberal Arts / Humanities
- Education (B.Ed / M.Ed)
- Journalism / Mass Communication
- Social Sciences
Applicants from other academic backgrounds with strong language skills and an interest in education and publishing are also encouraged to apply.
UPSC aspirants are also encouraged to apply.
Prior experience in editing, proofreading, academic writing, or curriculum development will be an advantage.

Internship Structure

- Opportunity: High-performing interns may receive a Pre-Placement Offer (PPO)
Salary
Interns will receive a monthly stipend of ₹ 18,000 during the internship period.
