Purpose:
To contribute to the launch and growth of Corporate Chanakya News & Feature Magazine by developing insightful, well-researched, and engaging editorial content that reflects contemporary issues, best practices, and meaningful perspectives across political, corporate, and societal domains.
Roles & Responsibilities
Editorial Content Specialist
- Develop and curate editorial content aligned with the magazine’s vision of positivity, nation-building, and societal well-being.
- Plan, structure, and edit features, columns, and perspectives for clarity, accuracy, and impact.
- Collaborate with journalists, domain experts, and academicians to ensure quality and depth of articles.
- Maintain editorial calendar, deadlines, and compliance with publishing standards.
- Ensure content avoids unwarranted criticism and promotes constructive discourse.
- Provide creative direction for themes, cover stories, and special features.
- Proofread and fact-check submissions for accuracy and credibility.
- Coordinate with design and production teams for layout and presentation.
Journalist
- Research and write original articles, features, and interviews on topics of contemporary significance.
- Conduct fieldwork, interviews, and data collection to provide authentic insights.
- Cover personalities, events, and sectoral developments with balanced and informative reporting.
- Generate enlightening snippets and perspectives that inspire readers.
- Work closely with the editorial team to align reporting with magazine objectives.
- Uphold journalistic ethics, accuracy, and neutrality while promoting positivity.
- Deliver content under tight deadlines with immediate availability for assignments.
- Represent the magazine at press events, conferences, and stakeholder interactions.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, English, Political Science, or related fields.
- Strong writing, editing, and analytical skills with a flair for storytelling.
- Prior experience in editorial/journalism roles preferred (freshers with exceptional writing ability may be considered).
- Ability to work onsite in Hyderabad and join immediately.
- Excellent command of English (knowledge of regional languages is an added advantage).
- Networking skills to engage with experts, policymakers, and thought leaders.
- Commitment to deadlines, accuracy, and ethical reporting.
