Job Title: Editorial Assistant

Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented Editorial Assistant with strong knowledge of research paper publication processes and indexing platforms like Scopus, Google Scholar, Web of Science, and PubMed. The candidate will support the editorial team in manuscript handling, formatting, and quality checks.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and process research manuscripts submitted by authors
- Ensure proper formatting as per journal guidelines (MS Word formatting)
- Perform initial quality checks (plagiarism, references, structure)
- Assist in coordinating with authors, reviewers, and editors
- Maintain records of submissions, revisions, and publication status
- Work on indexing requirements for platforms like:
- Scopus
- Google Scholar
- Web of Science
- PubMed
- Assist in proofreading and basic copy editing of research papers
- Ensure deadlines are met for publication cycles
Required Skills
- Basic understanding of research paper structure (Abstract, Methodology, References, etc.)
- Knowledge of journal publication process
- Familiarity with indexing databases (Scopus, Web of Science, etc.)
- Strong command of MS Word formatting & editing tools
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
Preferred Skills (Good to Have)
- Knowledge of plagiarism tools (Turnitin, Grammarly, etc.)
- Basic understanding of referencing styles (APA, MLA, IEEE)
- Experience in academic publishing or editorial work
Eligibility
- Freshers with strong academic background can apply
- Experienced candidates in publication or editorial roles preferred
- Candidates with research/thesis/project experience will be an advantage
