We're hiring an Editor in Chief for Going to School.
This role owns the story, the narrative, the big reason why for everything we make for young people. Children's books, stories, games, graphic novel adventures, all in print, in English, Hindi and local languages. Editorial, art, proofreading, every word and every page, because it’s the details, it’s always the details.
And then the role takes the stories outside. Campaigns for fundraising. The Children's Scrappy News Service. TV. Dynamic, sticky ways of sharing a point of view so it travels faster than any of our wild digital mediums, the speed of light, of a great story, a good story, a story that asks young people to complete it, the never-ending-story.
The stories we’re looking to tell are about what it means to be young and going to school in India today. What does she want? What does she really, really want? Who is an entrepreneur? You, me, her. How does he start-up and include everyone? What is climate change where young people live, is it part of their story yet or not, what can we design together to solve for it, as start-ups? A young person who is in search of new friends to start-up in a big city, a team of young people in a village who have always done new things and this time they want to include everyone, rural adventures that begin on the page and step outside it. The good stories. The power of possibility. The unfinished story.

This is a full time role based in Mumbai, with travel if you'd like, in search of stories.
