Job Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented and enthusiastic candidate for an Editorial role to support academic writing, editing, and research/data analysis-related work. This opportunity is ideal for post-graduates or ,PhDs who are interested in research, writing, and publication support.
Responsibilities
Manuscript Editing & Support
- Edit, proofread, and improve scientific/technical documents for clarity and quality.
- Ensure proper language, flow, and basic formatting as per journal or document guidelines.
- Support in preparing manuscripts, references, tables, and figures.
- Use AI tools responsibly to assist in editing and content improvement.
Journal & Submission Assistance
- Help identify suitable journals based on research topics.
- Assist in formatting and preparing manuscripts for submission.
- Coordinate with authors or team members during revisions.
Data Analysis Support
- Assist in basic data analysis and understanding research data.
- Support in organizing data, creating tables, and simple visualizations.
- Help draft sections like Methods and Results with guidance.
Learning & Development
- Gain exposure to statistical analysis and basic machine learning concepts.
- Learn to interpret results and present them clearly in research format.
- Work with tools like Excel, SPSS, R, or Python (training/support can be provided).
Coordination & Documentation
- Maintain proper records and version control of documents.
- Communicate effectively with team members for smooth workflow.
- Ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.
Essential Qualifications
- Master’s degree or PhD (completed or pursuing) in a relevant field of Engineering/Statistics/ Economics/Business/Mathematics/ Commerce/Population Studies/Sociology, etc.
Desirable Skills:
- Good written and spoken English skills.
- Interest in research, academic writing, or data analysis.
- Basic knowledge of MS Word, Excel, or similar tools.
- Willingness to learn and grow in academic publishing.
