We are seeking an entrepreneurial and highly skilled India Lead (Founding Engineer) to join our founding team. In this key leadership role, you will be responsible for driving the technical vision, building scalable solutions, and shaping the future of our company. As the lead engineer, you’ll work closely with the founders, playing a pivotal role in building out the engineering function in India.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead and manage the engineering function, driving the design, architecture, and development of innovative solutions.
  2. Collaborate directly with the founding team to set the strategic technical direction of the company.
  3. Recruit, mentor, and build a strong engineering team in India.
  4. Oversee the development and deployment of scalable, reliable, and high-performance systems.
  5. Foster a culture of innovation, excellence, and collaboration within the engineering team.
  6. Be a hands-on leader, contributing directly to the codebase and solving complex technical challenges.

Required Skills & Experience:

  1. 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with a strong focus on backend technologies.
  2. Proven track record of designing, building, and deploying scalable systems.
  3. Expertise in Python or other modern programming languages.
  4. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and grow an engineering team.
  5. Experience working in fast-paced startup environments and wearing multiple hats.
  6. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Previous experience in a founding or early-stage startup role.
  2. Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  3. Knowledge of CI/CD processes and DevOps practices.
