Tiwari Degree College – Edept Reporting To Senior Management / Head – Career Services Role Purpose The Student Placement Manager will be responsible for driving the college's student placement ecosystem, with primary ownership of corporate outreach, opportunity procurement, employer engagement, candidate screening and student selection. The role requires a strong understanding of industry hiring requirements and the ability to continuously build relationships with companies, identify relevant job opportunities, and ensure that the right students are mapped and presented to the right employers. 1. Corporate Outreach & Employer Engagement • Build and maintain a strong network of companies, recruiters, HR professionals and hiring managers. • Conduct regular corporate outreach through calls, emails, LinkedIn and professional networking. • Identify new employers across IT, Data Science, Analytics, Cybersecurity, Finance, Management and other relevant domains. • Develop long-term relationships with companies for recurring hiring. • Maintain an active corporate database with recruiter contacts, hiring requirements and engagement history. • Represent the institution professionally during employer interactions. 2. Opportunity Procurement • Proactively identify and procure quality placement opportunities for students. • Understand current industry hiring trends and convert them into relevant placement requirements. • Obtain detailed Job Descriptions, eligibility criteria, salary details, locations, selection processes and timelines from employers. • Ensure that opportunities are aligned with student skills, academic backgrounds and career interests. • Build a continuous pipeline of placement opportunities rather than relying only on existing recruiters. • Track every opportunity from initial employer contact through final joining. 3. Student–Opportunity Mapping • Analyse student profiles, skills, academic background and placement readiness. • Map suitable students to relevant job opportunities. • Avoid indiscriminate sharing of opportunities and ensure quality candidate-to-job matching. • Maintain student-wise placement records and opportunity participation history. • Identify skill gaps affecting student eligibility and communicate them to the training team. 4. Tiwari Degree College | Student Placement Manager JD | Page 2 • Coordinate pre-placement screening based on employer requirements. • Shortlist eligible candidates based on academic criteria, technical skills, communication, aptitude and other job-specific parameters. • Conduct or coordinate resume screening, aptitude tests, mock interviews and preliminary assessments. • Ensure that only appropriately prepared and eligible students are forwarded to employers. • Coordinate student participation through the complete recruitment process. • Maintain records of shortlisted, selected, rejected and placed students. 5. Placement Drive Management • Coordinate end-to-end campus recruitment drives. • Manage employer visits, virtual recruitment processes, assessments, interviews and offer processes. • Coordinate with faculty, students and internal teams to ensure smooth execution. • Track candidate attendance and participation. • Follow up with selected students and employers until joining. 6. Employer Follow-up & Relationship Management • Maintain regular communication with recruiters after every recruitment activity. • Collect employer feedback regarding student performance and selection quality. • Identify opportunities for repeat hiring and expanded engagement. • Build a reliable employer pipeline for future batches. • Ensure timely closure of employer requirements. 7. Placement Data & Reporting • Maintain accurate records of companies approached, companies onboarded, opportunities received, job roles and vacancies. • Track students nominated, shortlisted, selected, offered and successfully joined. • Prepare regular placement pipeline and conversion reports for management. • Track corporate outreach and opportunity-generation targets.
