This position is based out of Severn, MD with daily travel in Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, Virginia and West Virginia. You will be expected to report to the Shop Location at the start of each shift. Ecotech also provides emergency services to clients, so proximity to the Shop Location is preferred. Ecotech also favors close proximity to the Shop Location because it typically operates within a 4-hour radius of the Shop Location; therefore, occasional overnight travel is to be expected.
As a Roll Off and Tanker Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of Roll Off or Tanker Trucks, while providing prompt and courteous waste transportation services for customers. The Driver safely maneuvers assigned vehicle in residential or commercial environments; navigates high traffic and congested roadways, driveways, alleyways, and lots and provides excellent customer service.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Vehicle Inspection and Maintenance: Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicles in compliance with Ecotech safety standards, as well as state and federal regulations. Ensure that the appearance of the truck meets company standards.
- Timely Task Completion and Customer Service: Perform assigned tasks efficiently and provide exceptional customer service.
- Training and Meeting Participation: Attend and actively participate in all scheduled training programs and meetings.
- Safety Training and Responsibility: Be thoroughly trained and accountable for your own safety and the safety of others, including fellow Ecotech employees, customers, and the general public. This includes adhering to proper certifications and licenses.
- Compliance with Safety Standards: Understand and execute duties in full accordance with company safety policies, regulations, practices, and all applicable laws.
- Safety Meeting Attendance: Regularly attend safety meetings as required.
- Mechanical Skills: Possess the mechanical ability to assess and repair minor issues with trucks and other equipment.
- Effective Communication: Exhibit effective communication skills, ensuring respectful and courteous interaction with company owners, management, other employees, customers, and the general public.
- Professional Conduct: Conduct yourself in a manner that is positive and promotes the image of both yourself and Ecotech.
- Physical Requirements: Be capable of repetitive activities such as sitting, lifting, stooping, bending, squatting, kneeling, reaching.
- Proactive Reporting: Promptly report any issues that may impact the company or its employees to management upon discovery.
- Outdoor Work Conditions: Be prepared to work in all outdoor environments for extended periods.
- Organizational and Technical Skills: Maintain organization and possess the necessary computer skills to accurately input work orders and enter time records.

- Proximity to Shop Location: It is preferable that candidates reside within a thirty (30) minute commuting distance from the Shop Location during standard commuting hours, considering typical traffic conditions. Additionally, candidates should exhibit a willingness to report during non-standard hours in the event of an emergency.

- Commercial Driver’s License (CDL): Possession of a Class A CDL is preferred; however, a minimum of a Class B CDL is required.
- Technical Proficiency: Relevant computer skills are necessary, depending on job requirements.
- Certification and Training Documentation: Must provide copies of any relevant or applicable certifications or training as requested by Ecotech.
