Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site position located in the Greater Chennai Area for an Economics Educator. The role involves planning and delivering curriculum-aligned lessons, preparing teaching materials, and evaluating student performance to ensure academic excellence. The educator will facilitate engaging classroom discussions, support students in developing critical thinking about economic principles, and integrate real-world applications to encourage learning. Collaboration with fellow educators, participation in professional development sessions, and interaction with parents to discuss student progress are also key responsibilities of this role.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in Economics, including microeconomics, macroeconomics, and applied economics concepts.
- Skills in lesson planning, curriculum alignment, and assessment design to deliver effective lesson plans tailored to students’ learning capacities.
- Proficient in classroom management and communication skills to engage students and foster a supportive learning environment.
- Ability to integrate technology into teaching, such as using digital tools and resources for interactive learning.
- Experience in mentoring or tutoring students with a focus on collaborative learning.
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Economics, Education, or a related field (a master’s degree is preferred).
- Experience in teaching at a middle or high school level is a plus.
- Passion for education and the ability to motivate and inspire students.
