Ecommerce Solutions Architect/Practice Head
Role Summary:
Lead the design and delivery of cutting-edge digital commerce solutions using modern platforms and technologies. Act as a thought leader, strategic advisor and technical visionary for enterprise clients, driving innovation and transformation across B2B and B2C commerce landscapes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect scalable, cloud-native commerce solutions using platforms such as Composable Commerce (e.g., commercetools, Elastic Path), Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Adobe Commerce, and SAP Commerce Cloud.
- Define and implement headless, API-first architectures leveraging microservices, MACH principles, and modern integration frameworks.
- Guide clients through platform selection, solution design, and implementation strategy.
- Evangelize best practices and emerging trends through thought leadership, industry engagement, and internal enablement.
- Collaborate with delivery teams to ensure technical excellence and business alignment.
Qualifications:
- Extensive experience in enterprise commerce architecture and platform implementation.
- Deep understanding of modern commerce ecosystems, including headless CMS, CDPs, PIMs, and cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Strong communication and leadership skills with a track record of influencing stakeholders and driving strategic outcomes.
What to look for in cold searches:
- At least 15 years experience related to commerce implementations
- Managed at least 15 member team
- Modern architectures: commercetools, bigcommerce, Contentstack, Contentful, payload, medusa, SalesForce Commerce, ShopifyPlus, MACH, headless commerce, microservices, multiple frontends
- Skills: thought leader, solution architect, nodejs, typescript, spring, java to be given priority…. Php and .net to be lowered priority.
