Department Summary

EchoStar has an exciting opportunity in our Hughes Network Systems division for a dynamic and experienced Sr. Product Manager.


Job Duties and Responsibilities

This position plays a pivotal role in defining product strategy, developing product roadmaps, evaluating technology and emerging markets, and driving product development for our aviation business.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and drive the product vision, strategy, and multi-year roadmap for aircraft solutions spanning hardware, software, and services
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and emerging markets by conducting market research and assessing competitive products to inform product selection and ensure our offerings remain innovative and competitive
  • Craft compelling go-to-market strategies, create product documentation, and train internal teams to effectively communicate the value of the products
  • Drive product roadmaps while ensuring alignment with the company's strategic objectives, market trends, and customer feedback
  • Develop and own the process to prioritize product initiatives based on business value, customer impact, and technical feasibility
  • Manage the product life cycle from concept to obsolescence
  • Leverage knowledge of aviation systems to guide product design, development, and integrationl collaborate closely with R&D and engineering teams to ensure technical feasibility and alignment with market needs
  • Manage strong relationships with customers, aircraft manufacturers, vendors, partners, and key stakeholders, providing regular updates and ensuring their needs and expectations are met

Skills, Experience and Requirements

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, aerospace, business administration, or a related field
  • 8+ years of relevant work experience
  • Prior experience managing all phases of the aviation product lifecycle, including product research, design, development, testing, certification, production, maintenance and support
  • Prior experience owning and executing product roadmaps, trade studies, prioritization decisions, and lifecycle planning
  • Prior experience in product development, roadmap development, and/or market research

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of aircraft systems and certification processes
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to influence a variety of stakeholders to establish concurrence

Salary Ranges

Compensation: $113,500.00/OTP - $151,000.00/OTP

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
