Role & responsibilities
Business Process & Configuration
- Analyse and confirm business process requirements across assigned EBS modules (Financials, SCM, Order Management, HR, or CRM).
- Configure EBS module setups, workflows, and workbooks in line with approved functional designs.
- Execute configuration changes for enhancements and change requests within defined solution parameters.
- Maintain configuration workbooks and setup documentation to a standard that removes downstream ambiguity.
Solution Validation & Testing
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT) for implementations, upgrades, and enhancements.
- Identify, document, and track defects, coordinating resolution with functional and technical teams.
- Validate end-to-end business process and workflow outcomes against original requirements confirming the configured solution actually does what the business needs, not just what was designed.
- Own cutover and go-live validation activities, including sign-off on readiness.
- Contribute to test plans, test cases, and test scripts alongside the test lead as needed — not a standalone authorship responsibility for this role.
Collaboration & Documentation
- Work with architects and technical leads to understand approved functional designs and flag configuration or validation risks early.
- Review design specifications for testability and real-world process fit — a validation lens, not a design-authorship one.
- Maintain test documentation: test plans, test data, defect reports, and release notes.
Continuous Improvement & Support
- Serve as the functional expert for EBS and Service Cloud modules — troubleshooting issues, managing service requests, and identifying root causes.
- Participate in QA and configuration process improvement initiatives.
- Conduct knowledge-sharing sessions and mentor junior consultants/analysts.
- Ensure compliance with QA standards, change management, and IT governance policies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
- Minimum 6 years of experience as an Oracle Functional/QA Consultant, with strong hands-on expertise in EBS configuration and Oracle Service Cloud.
- Deep functional knowledge and hands-on configuration experience in at least two EBS modules (e.g., Financials, SCM, Order Management, HR, or CRM).
- Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Service Cloud (RightNow) — configuration, workflows, service request management, and integrations.
- Proven, demonstrable ownership of test case creation and execution — not just review of tests written by others.
- Working knowledge of end-to-end business processes, data models, and how they map to EBS configuration.
- Exposure to Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), BI Publisher, and Oracle APEX integrations is highly desirable.
