POSITION: Special Education Paraprofessional (HCA)
BUILDING: Greyhound Central Elementary
DATE OF AVAILABILITY: May 2026
RATE OF PAY: $14.32 Base
HOURS: 7.0 hours per day
CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Training in crisis prevention intervention preferred
2. Training/experience in special education of elementary school students preferred
3. Ability to work with, and under the supervision of, regular and special education staff
4. Ability to provide tutorial and group instruction
5. Must be consistent with effective discipline
6. Must be a self-directed worker
7. Previous experience working with emotionally impaired students in an instructional
capacity required
8. Must be physically fit
DUTIES INCLUDE:
1. Classroom instructional assistance to disabled and non-disabled students under teacher
supervision
2. Assist with classroom management
3. Preparation of individualized/accommodated instructional materials
4. Preparation of lesson materials under direction of teacher
5. Assist with the implementation of behavior management protocols and plans
6. Provide assistance with personal care of students, including toileting, may be required.
7. Other administratively assigned duties
