Description
- Process stock and non-stock requisitions for department using standard Meditech practices.
- Performs spot checks and physical inventories to verify inventory. Performs year-end physical inventory.
- Assists the Material Manager in implementing new processes.
- Assists with Quality Improvement as requested.
- Will participate in committees as requested. Will assume responsibility for assigned tasks/projects.
- Casual position, meaning hours are flexible, but generally Tuesday and Thursday, 8:00 am - 2:00pm
Requirements
BLS required within 90 days of hire and maintained throughout employment. High school graduate or equivalent. Experience with the procurement of specialized goods services (i.e. Surgery, Culinary, etc.) a plus.
Summary
Under the direction of the Materials Manager, receives, processes, stores and delivers products to and for the hospital and its related facilities. Is involved in developing safe work practices and is held accountable for the day to day efforts of ensuring a safe workplace by following safe work practices. Will be responsible for utilizing Meditech as recommended.
