YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
File Management & Data Import/Export
- Import flat files (DXF, DWG) and 3D model files (STEP, IGES) into the robot programming environment
- Export finalized cut programs, maintain version control, and organize file structure
- Coordinate with engineering or design teams to receive updated model files as needed
Robot Programming & 3D Model Adjustments
- Make program adjustments including cutback modifications and tool path corrections
- Perform deeper 3D model modifications as skills and experience develop
- Verify cut geometry against drawings and troubleshoot programming errors or tool path conflicts
Quality Inspection & New Program Validation
- Perform full setup inspection and dry-run verification on every new program before production release
- Conduct first-article cuts and compare finished parts against engineering drawings or approved specifications
- Verify torch height, consumable status, and cut parameters for each new program; confirm material and fixture match requirements
- Document validation results, note deviations, and obtain supervisor sign-off; maintain a program validation log
Safety & Compliance
- Follow all safety procedures for plasma cutting and robotic systems; complete pre-operation safety checks and JSA requirements
- Maintain a clean work area and immediately report equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to the supervisor
