About the role

Job Title: Safety Officer / Safety Supervisor

Relocation Flexibility: (Project-based – must be open to relocation PAN India and inter-project transfers)

Department: Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)

Reporting to: HSE Manager / Project Manager

Job Summary

We are hiring a Safety Officer / Safety Supervisor to oversee safety measures across our railway construction projects. The role involves enforcing EHS protocols, training site teams, conducting inspections, and ensuring compliance with applicable railway, statutory, and company safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct regular safety inspections to identify hazards and implement corrective/preventive actions.

Develop and maintain a robust safety management system, including risk assessments, incident investigation reports, and emergency response plans.

Provide training and awareness programs on safety procedures, protocols, and best practices to all site personnel.

Collaborate with project teams to plan and conduct emergency drills and mock exercises.

Ensure full compliance with applicable EHS laws, Indian Railways safety standards, and project-specific requirements.

Monitor high-risk activities such as working at height, track works, lifting, confined space entry, and electrical work.

Maintain accurate records of safety documentation including permits, inspections, incident logs, and safety meeting minutes.

Desired Candidate Profile

Experience: 2–7 years in a Safety Officer or equivalent role, preferably in railways, metro, or infrastructure projects.

Qualification: Diploma (any specialization) from a recognized institution with a government-approved Industrial Safety Certification.

Minimum Qualifications

Safety Officer:

B.Sc. / B.E. + Diploma in Safety (recognized institute, as per Factory Act)

Minimum 5 Years Of Experience In Infrastructure/railway Projects

Strong communication skills and ability to lead safety implementation

Safety Supervisor

10+2 (Science) / ITI/Diploma with 4–5 years of relevant experience
