About the role: Chisel Home is looking for a responsible and enthusiastic college student to support and manage its growing e-commerce and marketplace presence.
The selected candidate will work directly with the founder and gain practical experience in marketplace management, product listings, order coordination, inventory tracking, customer communication, SEO content, and day-to-day e-commerce operations.
This role is ideal for someone who wants to earn alongside college, gain hands-on business experience, and learn how an e-commerce brand is managed and expanded.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create, upload, update, and manage product listings across e-commerce marketplaces.
- Write clear, engaging, and SEO-friendly product titles and descriptions.
- Ensure that product information, specifications, pricing, images, and availability are accurate.
- Monitor and process marketplace orders.
- Respond professionally to customer emails, order enquiries, and marketplace requests.
- Coordinate order-related information directly with the founder and relevant team members.
- Regularly monitor stock availability across marketplaces.
- Update inventory and prevent products from being oversold or incorrectly marked as available.
- Maintain organised records of listings, orders, enquiries, stock, and product information.
- Carry out basic product-image editing, resizing, formatting, and design work for listings.
- Use basic AI tools to support content writing, research, image preparation, and operational tasks.
- Identify listing errors, missing information, delayed orders, or stock-related concerns and communicate them promptly.
- Support the founder in expanding and improving Chisel Home’s e-commerce presence.
Candidate Requirements:
- Must currently be enrolled in a college or university.
- Strong written and spoken English.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Responsible, organised, cooperative, and dependable.
- Comfortable communicating directly with the founder.
- Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks within agreed timelines.
- Basic knowledge of photo-editing or design tools such as Canva or similar platforms.
- Basic familiarity with AI tools and a willingness to learn how to use them effectively.
- Comfortable using email, spreadsheets, online dashboards, and digital platforms.
- High attention to detail, particularly while entering product information, pricing, dimensions, and inventory.
- Willingness to learn about e-commerce operations, marketplace systems, SEO, and order management.
Preference will be given to candidates who have:
- Basic knowledge of product listings or e-commerce marketplace operations.
- Previous internship, freelance, college-project, or personal experience managing online listings.
- Familiarity with marketplaces.
- Basic knowledge of SEO and keyword-based product descriptions.
- Experience using Canva, Photoshop, or other simple image-editing tools.
- Demonstrated initiative and a strong willingness to learn, even without previous professional experience.
Prior experience is preferred but not mandatory. Candidates with strong communication skills, responsibility, and a genuine willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.

Confidentiality: The selected candidate will be required to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement to protect Chisel Home’s confidential information, including product designs, photographs, pricing, supplier information, customer information, business processes, and marketplace data.
The candidate must not copy, reproduce, disclose, distribute, or independently use Chisel Home’s confidential product designs or business information. Any conflict-of-interest or competitor-related restrictions will be communicated separately in the contract and will remain subject to applicable law.
Stipend - INR 10,000/ per month, negotiable
