We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented E-commerce Manager to oversee the complete day-to-day operations of our D2C e-commerce business. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing our Shopify store, inventory, warehouse coordination, logistics, customer support operations, payment gateways, and overall website management to ensure a seamless customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the Shopify website.
- Keep the website updated with accurate product information, pricing, descriptions etc.
- Monitor and update inventory levels across the website to prevent overselling or stock-outs.
- Coordinate with the warehouse team to ensure timely order processing, dispatch, and stock reconciliation.
- Work closely with the sourcing, procurement, production, and planning teams to maintain optimal inventory levels.
- Forecast inventory requirements based on sales trends and upcoming promotions.
- Oversee logistics operations and coordinate with courier partners for timely deliveries.
- Monitor shipment performance and resolve delivery-related issues with logistics partners.
- Handle customer complaints related to order delays, damaged products, returns, exchanges, refunds, and replacements.
- Coordinate with the customer support team to ensure quick and satisfactory resolution of customer issues.
- Manage return (RTO), refund, exchange, and replacement processes while maintaining service-level agreements (SLAs).
- Coordinate with payment gateway providers to resolve payment failures, settlement issues, chargebacks, refund delays, and reconciliation discrepancies.
- Perform regular payment reconciliation with finance and payment gateway reports.
- Monitor website performance and identify opportunities to improve user experience and conversion rates.
- Ensure all products remain live with correct pricing, stock status, images, and specifications.
- Coordinate with the marketing team for campaign launches, coupon creation, landing pages, and promotional activities.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports covering sales, inventory, customer complaints, returns, refunds, logistics performance, and website KPIs.
- Coordinate with third-party service providers, warehouse partners, technology vendors, and agencies whenever required.
- Ensure smooth functioning of all operational processes while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce, Marketing, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- Minimum 3-years of experience in D2C/E-commerce operations.
- Hands-on experience managing Shopify stores is mandatory.
- Strong understanding of inventory management, warehouse operations, and order fulfillment.
- Experience working with logistics partners and courier aggregators.
- Good knowledge of payment gateways such as Razorpay, Cashfree, PayU, Stripe, etc.
- Experience handling returns, refunds, exchanges, and customer service operations.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems, warehouse management systems (WMS), and ERP software.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
- Excellent coordination, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Experience working with D2C beauty, skincare, cosmetics, wellness, or FMCG brands is a plus.
- Knowledge of Shopify apps, integrations, and basic website management.
- Experience with shipping platforms such as Shiprocket, NimbusPost, Pickrr, Delhivery, Blue Dart, or similar logistics providers.
- Familiarity with Google Analytics, Meta Commerce Manager, and e-commerce reporting tools.
