Our client is an agile, next-generation digital acceleration company providing digital transformation and technology services from ideation to implementation. These services are applicable across various industries, including banking & financial services, insurance, retail, higher education, food, healthcare, and manufacturing.

Role & Responsibilities

• Production Environment Management:
• Plan, manage, and oversee all aspects of the production environment.
• Define strategies for Application Performance Monitoring and optimization in the production environment.
• Incident Response & Continuous Improvement:
• Respond to incidents, analyze root causes, and implement improvements to reduce incident frequency over time.
• Take a holistic approach to problem-solving, connecting the dots across different technology stacks to optimize mean time to recovery (MTTR).
• Monitoring & Automation:
• Design, develop, and standardize monitoring and alerting mechanisms for supported applications.
• Automate existing manual processes to improve efficiency and reliability.
• Software Deployment & CI/CD:
• Support code deployments into multiple lower environments and production.
• Manage and enhance the CI/CD pipeline, ensuring smooth software promotions into higher environments.
• Support software before launch through system design consulting, capacity planning, and launch reviews.
• Performance Optimization & Reliability Engineering:
• Maintain live services by measuring and monitoring availability, latency, and system health.
• Scale systems sustainably using automation and process optimization.
• Analyze ITSM (IT Service Management) activities to identify operational gaps and improve resiliency.
• Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing:
• Work with global teams across multiple tech hubs and time zones.
• Share knowledge, explain procedures, and mentor junior engineers.
• Train and guide team members in DevOps best practices and application support strategies.
• On-Call & Off-Hours Support:
• Participate in an on-call rotation to provide production support as needed.
• Occasionally work during off-hours for critical deployments or incident resolution.

• Linux & Shell Scripting
• Monitoring Tools (Splunk, Dynatrace, or other)
• ITIL/ITSM
• Troubleshooting
• PL/SQL, SQL
• Jenkins
• CI/CD
• Groovy Scripting / YAML
• Linux, Shell Scripting & Git/Bitbucket
• Ansible / Chef
• Strong experience in Production Support, Application Support, and DevOps.
• Hands-on experience with monitoring tools, logging frameworks, and incident management.
• Proficiency in CI/CD pipeline management, automation, and deployment strategies.
• Knowledge of ITSM frameworks and incident management processes.
• Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

• Soft Skills:
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, global team environment.
• Strong communication skills to mentor and guide junior engineers.
• Nice to Have:
• Experience with SRE (Site Reliability Engineering) principles.
• Certifications in AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, or ITIL.
