We are looking for an experienced and motivated Deputy Principal Associate – Insolvency & Bankruptcy with 7–8+ years of post-qualification experience (PQE). The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in insolvency, restructuring and related commercial litigation.
The selected candidate will play an important role in strengthening and expanding the Firm’s Insolvency & Bankruptcy practice. This position requires the ability to independently handle complex matters, appear before courts and tribunals, provide strategic legal advice, manage client relationships and supervise junior team members.

Key Responsibilities
- Independently handle complex matters under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code and related laws.
- Manage matters relating to CIRP, liquidation, pre-packaged insolvency resolution processes and other insolvency proceedings.
- Appear before the NCLT, NCLAT, High Courts and other appropriate forums, wherever required.
- Advise clients on insolvency resolution, restructuring, stressed assets, debt recovery and strategic exit options.
- Review and analyse resolution plans, creditor claims, CoC-related issues, liquidation proceedings and other insolvency documents.
- Handle matters relating to avoidance transactions and other contentious insolvency issues.
- Conduct detailed legal research on the IBC, Companies Act, SARFAESI, RDB Act and other applicable commercial and insolvency laws.
- Prepare and review petitions, applications, pleadings, written submissions, legal opinions and other case-related documents.
- Manage client communication, provide regular case updates and develop appropriate legal strategies.
- Supervise junior lawyers and review the quality of their work.
- Support the Firm in developing and expanding its Insolvency & Bankruptcy practice.
Desired Candidate Profile
- 7–8+ years of PQE, including at least 6 years of substantial experience in Insolvency & Bankruptcy matters.
- Strong and demonstrable experience in IBC, CIRP and insolvency-related litigation.
- Regular appearance and significant experience before the NCLT and NCLAT.
- Excellent drafting, pleading, legal research and analytical skills.
- Strong understanding of insolvency jurisprudence, commercial laws and restructuring mechanisms.
- Ability to independently manage matters from strategy and preparation through hearings and final resolution.
- Strong client-management, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience supervising and mentoring junior team members.
